my
personal life
Outside of work, I enjoy working out, biking, hiking, kayaking, and reading a good book. My faith is an important part of my life, as I regularly attend church and read the Bible. I am also a Minnesota sports fan. I live in the suburbs with my fiancée, and we enjoy traveling, cooking, and playing games together.

my background
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health Psychology from University of Northwestern, a Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership from Bethel University, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethel University. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including inpatient behavioral health, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Positive Support Services, and a men’s homeless shelter. I have supported individuals facing mental health challenges, substance use, homelessness, cognitive disabilities, and major life changes. Additionally, I have experience facilitating DBT, Anger Management, Substance Use Recovery, and Shame Resilience groups.

my specializations
Starting counseling can feel like a big step, often made during times of stress, loss, or when life feels overwhelming. I create a safe, respectful, and supportive space using a collaborative, client-centered approach so you feel heard as we work through life's challenges together.
Grief, divorce, shame, substance use, anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and major life transitions can leave us feeling stuck or thinking, “This wasn’t supposed to be this way.” My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can process your experiences, discover your strengths, and move toward healing. Together, we will work toward finding hope, resilience, and a path forward.
I use techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you build coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My approach is tailored to your unique needs because I believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing.
