my
personal life
I ground myself through a daily yoga practice and find joy in nature, animals, and culturally informed holistic healing. Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, riding motorcycles with loved ones, and spending time with my partner, two teenage bonus sons, and our German Shepherd, Malamute, and two cats. As a Veteran and someone raised in a military family across different states and countries, I bring a deep understanding of resilience, identity, and belonging. I strive to stay balanced and do my own cultural and personal work so I can show up fully for those I support.

my background
I’m a white, cisgender, spiritually open, heterosexual woman of European descent, committed to a lifelong journey of unlearning biases shaped by systemic racism and oppression. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where my training has focused on trauma-informed care and working with diverse and marginalized communities. With over a decade of experience in leadership, coaching, and mentoring across a wide range of ages, identities, and cultural backgrounds, I bring empathy, humility, and open-mindedness into my work. I also hold a background in animal science and behavior, which further informs my understanding of connection and communication. My goal is to work collaboratively with you—centered in compassion and curiosity—as you move through your healing journey.

my specializations
I have experience working with military personnel, Veterans, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I'm passionate about supporting individuals and relationships navigating substance use, high-acuity trauma, and mental health challenges. My approach integrates Brainspotting, DBT skills, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Discernment Counseling, attachment and systems theory, and a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming lens. I am trained to work with minority populations and work collaboratively to integrate cultural adaptations into my work. I also incorporate holistic practices like animal-assisted insights, habit-building, and self-care planning. All of my work is closely supervised by licensed clinicians with diverse specialties to ensure comprehensive, collaborative care.
