my
personal life

I live in the suburbs with my husband, 9-month-old and our golden retriever, Emmie. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching movies - especially Disney movies. I also love staying active by running and playing volleyball and basketball. I am a big fan of University of Minnesota Gopher volleyball and going to games with my brother is one of my favorite self-care activities.

my background

I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents, adults and families in school-based and outpatient settings. Through this work, I have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I also bring personal insight into my work through my experiences with adoption. This has deepened my understanding of the unique systems, dynamics, and experiences that come with adoptive families.

my specializations

I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation for a safe and effective therapy space. I focus on creating a supportive, client-centered environment where my clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing process. I adjust my approach to each client’s individual needs. I utilize several different approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and those who are on the autism spectrum. My goal is to help my clients better understand themselves and move toward meaningful change.
