what we offer

We believe every child deserves safety, connection, and the chance to heal. Our mission is to make purposeful change by providing exceptional, trauma-responsive care that strengthens the child, the family, and the larger support network around them.

Our clinicians are certified in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and have deep experience supporting complex family systems. We collaborate closely with caregivers, schools, and community partners to help each child build stability where it matters most.

Children’s Intensive Behavioral Health Services (CIBHS)

CIBHS is an intensive, community-based mental health program for children and youth (birth–20) who need a higher level of clinical support to stay stable in their home, school, or placement. Services are funded through Minnesota Health Care Programs and offered at no cost to families.

Eligibility

CIBHS is available to children and youth who:

  • live in licensed foster care, or

  • live with a parent or legal guardian and are at risk of out-of-home placement, and

  • have a recent diagnostic assessment showing mental health needs that require intensive services.

(Per DHS, CIBHS is designed for children needing multiple therapeutic contacts each week and coordinated team-based care.)

Every child begins with a trauma-informed diagnostic assessment by a nationally certified trauma clinician. We then build a collaborative treatment plan that unites caregivers, educators, county partners, and other key supports—ensuring true alignment and continuity of care.

What CIBHS Provides:

  • Psychotherapy: Individual, family, group, and multi-family

  • Psychoeducation for caregivers and support systems

  • Crisis assistance and stabilization support

  • Coordinated care across all team members

CIBHS helps children by:

  • Supporting placement stability and permanency

  • Strengthening communication across systems

  • Providing intensive clinical care in community settings

  • Reducing the need for higher-level, restrictive services

  • Promoting evidence-based, measurable outcomes

If you're seeking a trusted, trauma-informed provider committed to clinical excellence and strong collaboration, our team is here to help.

We currently provide CIBHS in Dakota, Hennepin, Olmsted, Ramsey, and Scott Counties, with capacity to expand.
