my
personal life

Hi! I’m Danielle. I’m a therapist with a deep love for travel, shaped by having lived in three different countries. I recently moved to Minnesota from Atlanta and value spending quality time with friends, which genuinely re-energizes me. I enjoy swimming when I can, and Christmas is my favorite holiday for its warmth and sense of connection. Outside of seeing clients, I enjoy watching a good TV show and will happily make the case that Game of Thrones is one of the best shows ever!

my background

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management in 2015 from a university in South Africa, and my master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University, New England. My clinical background includes working in PHP and IOP settings with adolescents and young adults, utilizing DBT and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within individual, group, and family therapy contexts. These experiences have equipped me to work thoughtfully with individuals, couples, and families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.

my specializations

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and gentle, while also being appropriately challenging when needed. Any challenge is offered with care, respect, and a strong therapeutic alliance. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) with individual clients and incorporate Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) interventions in my work with couples. I specialize in working with couples navigating discernment, affair recovery, and relational transitions. I also welcome couples and individuals experiencing stress related to immigration and cross-cultural dynamics, including partners from different cultural backgrounds. My work is grounded in a systemic lens, meaning that even in individual therapy, I consider the relational and contextual systems shaping a client’s experience. Faith-based counseling can be integrated when requested by my clients.
