my
personal life

I live in Inver Grove Heights, MN with my partner and our cat and dog. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, playing video games (Animal Crossing is my favorite), reading, sipping black coffee, and spending as much time outdoors as I can when it isn't too cold.

my background

I completed my bachelor's in Psychology at the University of Minnesota in 2019, and my master's in Counseling Psychology at the University of Saint Thomas in 2022. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Counseling Psychology, also at the University of Saint Thomas. I'm relatively new to therapy as a profession, although I have previous experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, chronic pain, and transitional life periods. I strive to ensure my clients feel safe and validated throughout therapy.

my specializations

I believe that for healing to take place, I first have to make sure clients feel safe and respected. I am especially interested in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, or life transitions, and have a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, including exploration of personal values and finding ways clients can learn to live according to what is most important to them. I also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and emotion-focused therapy. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a somatic approach designed to help clients access and process painful emotions and memories. If you think we would be a good fit, don't hesitate to reach out; I'm looking forward to meeting you.
