Aba Taylor Ofori-Atta, MA, MHP
My husband and I live in Rochester, MN. I am a mother of four adult children. I enjoy cooking, gardening, and visiting with family when I need self-care. Watching English mystery shows and traveling are my two passions. I find solace in connecting with nature and enjoy going on long walks.
I received my bachelor’s in Psychology of Counseling from Crossroads College and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Bradley University, Peoria, Il. My professional journey includes working with individuals with co-occurring mental disorders and substance abuse issues and co-facilitating psycho-education groups. My approach to therapy is warm, interactive, and welcoming.
My approach to therapy is eclectic (incorporating various therapeutic techniques) with a foundation in narrative and client-centered therapy. I aim to build trusting relationships with clients and strive to meet them where they are in their therapeutic journey. I also value the integration of multicultural frameworks. I am particularly interested in working with clients needing guidance while working through Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Trauma, Perinatal Mental Health, and Stress Reduction. I strive to create a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive environment for clients to heal.
