my
personal life

I like adventures and celebrating the many milestones along the journey. I enjoy traveling as well as trying new foods and experiences. I am a Mom and share four spirited children with my husband. Our kids keep us current and keep us guessing. The roots of my personal life energize me for the support I aim to offer you as you prioritize your mental health.

my background

I am a Black American, female, Christian-identified therapist. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My curiosity about the experiences of others through compassion and understanding inspires me. I use a candid, non-judgmental and holistic approach to connect with clients. I strive to create a safe environment for people to process the pieces of their world that need extra care. My extensive experience with the foster care system has shaped my worldview. I focus on creating a protective barrier of support around growing children, individuals, and families.

my specializations

I am passionate about developing self-identity, maternal mental health, supporting couples, and serving parents who are seeking to strengthen their parental skills and relationships with their children. I am devoted to utilizing cultural enrichment, exploring generational connections and patterns with clients, and healing places of trauma within the BIPOC community.

I am trained in IFS, emotion-focused therapy, play therapy, family systems theory, Brainspotting and trauma-informed approaches. Establishing self-care and psycho-education are consistent tools in my practice. I regularly consult with my supervisors and colleagues to provide reliable and ethically sound care for clients.
